My use of "Young Living Essential Oils"

I have been using "Young Living" products for a little over three years now.  I’m a distributor but haven’t really pushed to sale the products. Now that I have used a number of the products and have become a pretty big believer in what they are doing, well….. from time to time, I’d just like to share with you some of my success stories and some of my favorite products and then if you would like you can go to http://youngliving.org/Eddie  to order anything you’re interested in  and try it for yourself.
When I started using some of the products from "Young living" a couple of the first free products I got were Lavender and Peppermint oil. I quickly fell in love with these two products.  A drop of Peppermint oil in a glass of water is not only refreshing but it’s also a great little pick me up and a great aid to weight loss. The Lavender oil is great for healing cuts and preventing infection. I’ve used it many times and it’s amazing how quickly it will help heal a wound.  These are the only two I used for a great while. They are still two of my favorites and consider them essential.
With every order over a certain amount you get a little bonus in you order. So over time I got a few samples of different oils but never played around with them much.   That changed about a year ago.
Now, lord knows, I’m no doctor and when I started getting into the whole raindrop, reflexology, therapeutic massage thing, I thought well, I’m not sure if this will actually improve my health, but at least I’ll smell good! Ha-ha! In the last year I’ve been playing around with some of the oils and have had some great success or at least I like them enough to keep using them.  They seem to give me a lift. I don’t know how to describe it but it’s a positive vibration, things seem to be constantly getting better. I can feel things getting better. Now I don’t contribute all this to Young Living, I have been trying to go in this direction for a while, it hasn’t always been easy, but the positive energy, the feeling of well being has increased in speed since I have been using these products.  Sounds like a bunch of new age hocus- pocus right? That’s what I thought three years ago.  Here is a list of oils I have been using. I urge you to contact me or another Young living distributor. I only want your life to improve as much as mine has. Try some of these products and make up your own mind.
After using lavender and peppermint for a while I received a bottle of Joy one of the many oil blends that "Young Living" has. I’ve used it as cologne. I also rub it on my chest where my heart is, it has a wonderful aroma and everyone seems to like it.
Awaken is a blend I rub on my head and back of my neck, I don’t know but all these blends I’m listing here just seem to give me an uplift to my day when I put them on in the morning.
Abundance is probably the most refreshing out of these three.
Then there is Magnify Your Purpose. I will put a drop of this on the palm of my hand and cup my hand over my face and I can immediately feel the synapses in my head firing and my head clear as if a breath of fresh air has cleaned out all the cobwebs. This is a powerful oil that I get amazing results with.
There is one called Valor, I’m telling you the ones I like and I’m going to tell you the ones I haven’t had much result with. Valor is one of these; I don’t know maybe I haven’t given it enough time.  I’ve been using it about as long as some of the others but just don’t get feel the pizzazz that I get from the others.
Panaway is one I wasn’t sure about at first, I didn’t think much of it, but when I was having trouble with my Achilles tendon it worked pretty well. So, I would say that now, if I have a muscle pain or something of that nature I would definitely use Panaway on it and that could happen with the Valor oil. Maybe I just haven’t used it in the right way.
I’ve used Thieves and I like Frankincense. The Thieves is supposed to be great for getting rid of mold and there again, I’ve used it as a cologne with great success.
Then there are oils that I have actually used in cooking and drinks. When adding oils to cooking you add them when you are ready to serve and not during the cooking process.  I have used Lemon and Orange oil with great success on chicken and in my collard or turnip greens.  Young Living probably wouldn’t like me advocating this but I’ve made cocktails with vodka, mineral water, Squirt or ginger ale and added Orange, Lemon, and or Tangerine oils even Grapefruit oil. Even Ningxia Red itself.  I look forward to using thyme oil and oregano oil in my cooking in the near future.
There are supposed to be all kinds of health reasons for using these oils. They are supposed to work from the cellular level so like herbs or many things that are natural, it takes time. It’s not like going to the doctor and getting a pill. I think the results over time are much better and much more long lasting to the “Whole Body” and well worth it.

La mour de La Vie (The Joy of Life) A guide to a life of joy, good health and wellness: Day 3 ; NO COFFEE!!!! AAARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

Day 3 ; NO COFFEE!!!! AAARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

Ha,HA!!!!!! It hasn't been that bad! I expected maybe a headache the first couple of days. I've had them before when I've done this. But no, not a single one so far. I did prick my finger and my blood was still sort of brown looking , so maybe there is enough residue in there, that my body doesn't realize I've stopped drinking coffee yet.
I have to admit the first day I was in the local grocery store and drooled a little bit when I walked by "Starbucks". I didn't miss it at all yesterday. My coffee maker has an automatic brewer on it that you can set, so coffee is ready when you wake up. This morning I missed waking up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee wafting through my little cabin. I also missed that morning cup of rich flavor. Other then that it's not so bad! Of course this is the perfect time to do this. I really don't have anywhere to be or any demands on me right now.

COFFEE

               I LOVE COFFEE!!!!
I love its deep, dark, sensual aroma. When it is really good, like that of the Blue Mountain coffee of Jamaica, some of the coffee I had in Venezuela or from  Costa Rica, you can almost taste the earth it was grown in. I love that dark earthy taste of a good, rich, strong cup of coffee. In the past year or so, I've become really fond of the organic free trade growers supported by the Rain Forest Alliance. You can definitely taste the difference and is well worth the extra price. I'm not the best morning person and love the caffeine in an early morning cup of coffee! I'm totally addicted!
This is going to shock, amaze and maybe even terrify those that really know me, but as of today, 12/12/11, I have quit drinking coffee! Its going to be mostly tea and mostly Puer tea from Yunnan Province China when I can get down to Boulder to get it. Now don't get me wrong! I'm not going to be religious about it. If I go out to breakfast, I'm still going to drink coffee and when I'm in New York City for New Years, you gotta "have  a coffee". Its just the everyday 4 to 8 cups a day, everyday, that's going to stop.
The past few times I've had my blood pressure checked its been a little high, not bad, just a little. Plus I'm afraid all that caffeine is hard on my adrenals and actually robbing me of energy. So..... for a few months anyway, I'm going to cut back on coffee and when the health fair comes around in late April or early May we will see the results.
