Joy

We were born to be happy, confident, trusting, joyful, kind, compassionate, sympathetic, helpful, enthusiastic, patient, positive, hopeful, and loving. This should be our reference point for what is "normal" and "balanced." When our state of mind reflects inner peace, joy, love and well-being-then peace, joy, love and well-being is what we naturally project outward and this brings us positive experiences.
Concentration, Alertness and Focus
Concentration is about being able to focus on the tasks ahead. Focusing, we can direct all our attention and energy to one place.
What Oils Could an Aromatherapist Recommend?
Lemon, basil, rosemary, cardamon, orange, grapefruit, peppermint, bergamot, cedarwood, eucalyptus, fennel, cypress, cinnamon, ylang ylang, juniper ginger, clove, nutmeg, pine.
Happiness and Contentment
A happy person is in a state of balance and harmony with life. It may come through accepting limitations, with forgiveness, with letting go all that holds us back, or with openness to the future.
What Oils Could an Aromatherapist Recommend?
Don't expect essential oils to create happiness and contentment for you. But they may help by reducing the tenseness and stress of unhappiness. Orange, rose, jasmine, clove, coriander, sandalwood, bergamot, ylang ylang, Roman Chamomile, lemon, neroli, frankincense, lavender, patchouli.
Joy & Peace
With joy-comes peace. Peace is a state of grace-a spiritual restfulness that reaches to every cell in the body. In peace, we embrace the stillness inside-in our bodies, minds and spirits-and are one with the still vibration of the universe.
What Oils Could an Aromatherapist Recommend?
Essential oils can help to create a peaceful environment that encourages peace within. Neroli, frankincense, melissa, angelica, Roman Chamomile, juniper, rose, jasmine.
Positive Outlook, Positive Self-Image, Positive Self-Esteem
A positive outlook and self-image not only sees but focuses on the light, rather than the dark, the good rather than the bad in life. People with a positive outlook are optimistic which dispels negativity. If we can see ourselves as positive, happy, vibrant and radiant-other people will be more likely to see us in the same way.
What Oils Could an Aromatherapist Recommend?
Essential oils will subtly and gently support a positive outlook on life. They can help us find our better qualities thus strengthening our self-image and help us to build self-esteem. Vetiver, rose, geranium, sandalwood, ylang ylang, jasmine, bergamot, cedarwood, orange, melissa, cypress, mandarin, myrtle, lavender, neroli, juniper, pine, frankincense, nutmeg.

Fiber and Diet

Back a couple of months ago, I visited a new doctor. My first woman doctor and younger then me. She doesn't seem to be a pill pusher. We talked and I showed her my test results from last years Health Fair . The results showed my sugar and cholesterol were slightly high. She advised me to get 30 -35 grams of fiber a day. I never realized how much that is. Its really hard to do. Young Living's "Balance Complete" has 11 grams per serving and that makes it a lot easier. But to get that much fiber in a "normal" diet takes a lot of work.
I just learned today that 1oz of Pumpkin seeds has 11 grams of fiber so, I'll be eating a lot more of them. I'm pretty good about eating whole wheat grains and all that but with out the "Balance Complete", its a task to get the amount of fiber the doctors are recommending.

Thieves Essential oil

Thieves essential oil blend is hands down my favorite oil of the season. Well really, one of my favorite oils ever. Young Living produces only therapeutic grade essential oils from organic ingredients, so you can be sure that this organic germ killer is of the highest quality. Nothing is more effective, yet completely natural and chemical free.
Thieves essential oil is a blend of highly anti-viral, anti-septic, anti-bacterial and anti-infectious oils. The formula was created by four thieves in 15th century France who would cover themselves with oils to prevent contracting the plague when robbing plague victims. When they were arrested, they were given a lighter sentence in exchange for their secret formula. The most powerful ingredient in this organic germ killer oil is Clove oil, which is the highest scoring single oil on the ORAC scale (which is one of the most sensitive and reliable methods for measuring a substance's antioxidant capacity). Clove is highly antiviral and antibacterial, and has a delicious, sweet scent. Clove is blended with Lemon (powerful antioxidant), Cinnamon Bark (digestive aid and support), Eucalyptus Radiata (highly antibacterial) and Rosemary (energizing and antimicrobial) to create the most powerful organic germ killer oil on the market today. A 1997 study at Weber State University found Thieves blend to be 99.96% effective in killing airborne micro-organisms.
Young Living has created an entire line of Thieves products, making this organic germ killer simple to incorporate into your everyday life. When the oil itself is diffused, it kills airborne germs, odors, micro-organisms and even molds. Applied topically to the bottoms of the feet or ingested in a capsule, Thieves organic germ killer properties boosts your immunity with anti-viral and anti-bacterial capabilities. The line of soaps and oral care products cleanse without adding synthetic ingredients, and the household cleaner is highly effective without harsh chemical cleaners.
Thieves essential oil blend is a must if you are looking for a healthy, organic germ killer, especially for the cold and flu season. Essential oils are an amazing, powerful way to make your life healthier and more enjoyable, and the Thieves oil blend is hands down one of the most amazing oils out there.
As a massage therapist and all around wellness junkie, the addition of essential oils to my life has been nothing but one of the best decisions I've ever made.

The Power of Positive Energy

Yesterday, I applied as a janitor at the library. It pays more and its about the same number of hours as the job I'm working. How dirty could a library bathroom get? Right?
I was just thinking about how great that job would actually be if I got it. It would put me right in the place I need to be, to read, write and do research. I would be here almost every day instead of a couple of days a week.
Some would see this as coincidence and maybe they would be right. But its funny, ever since I've fully embraced trying to be a more compassionate person, being more forgiving and loving with out fear. Trying to not judge others and trying to put out positive things in this life. Its funny but more and more good, helpful people are put before me, more opportunities are put before me. I know it sounds like a lot of WHOO WHOO and HOODOOO. All I know is I've been reading about these things I talk about in this blog for years. The Young Living Essential oils and products I've been using for three years. All I can say it seems to be working for me. I'm not perfect, things don't always work out, but more and more positive things seem to be coming my way.
I urge you to try some of these things in your own life and see if they don't make a positive influence.
